  • Thanks Little-Sweetie - I'll definitely join you on that one. It sounds a lovely thing to do.

Nothing potted today but I did bag myself a bargain. I had a voucher for B**ts offering 50% off a pair of sunglasses over £25. I've had my eye on a pair for a while that cost £28 (i.e. £14 to me) , but have been waiting until pay day before parting with any cash. Anyway, I went to the till and cheekily asked if I could use my points against the purchase. The cashier said 'no', but then pressed a button and hey presto, it took £14 off my points! So a lush pair of sunnies for a big fat £0!! Next time I go to the bank I shall take out that £14 and put £10 in the pot and buy some groceries for the food bank with the other £4!!

Have a lovely sunny evening everyone! I love spring time!!

Wow! Well done Mrs d on the bargain sunnies :T and it's great news for the food bank too, you are a little gem :) Let's make a difference together

Thanks for the tip lynne but I have tried £land ones and they are no use to me. I am very shortsighted and need thinner lenses too. Kind of you to mention it though. They have some nice frames at the mo.

Dear FiL was 92 last week so we took him out to lunch today, so a lovely 40p change potted....kerchink!

Have a lovely evening everyone x

50p in my pot, £1 in mums envelope today care of FB sales :D

Did my good deed of the day today, went to the C0-op and had a £6 off £40 spend in my purse that goes out of date on sunday, having already done a big Mr T shop and a Mr S top up shop in the last week I was never going to use it. An elderly couple were in front of me at the till and had spent over £60, saw they didn't have a coupon so gave them mine :)

I love Wicked :D I've seen it three times and have tickets to see it later in the year when it goes on tour :j

£1.10 in the pot today. This lack of spending does mean there's less happy clinking in the pot :rotfl:

    I've been Money Tipped!
Morning all, hope all are well.
Garden almost as it should be and just bits to finish off.

I love coupons and money off shop vouchers.
yesterday, I swapped some Nectar pounds for a £10 voucher (Sainsbury's doubling up), bought some clothes (reduced to half-price), bought some plants and bits to get to over £20 (£20.10 lol) and used a £4 off £20 spend voucher. Total to pay was £6.10.
    :money:
The plants were £4 and 3 for 2, so they would have been £8 anyway. :p

Back to potting coins and 8 x £1 coins potted from the last few day.
Still over 7 months of potting left. :rotfl:

That is such a lovely thing to do :) it's a great feeling making someones day better.

I put around £10 in change into the pot tonight. I have been ill all week and haven't really eaten so have saved quite a lot. I will see what money i have on Wednesday after i have paid everything off and i should have some more to pot!!

Someone gave me a lift today and I saw a penny on the floor of the car. Nearly picked it up - reflex action- but just stopped in time, what would they have thought :rotfl:

I very nearly ate a crumb of chocolate off the table in the coffee room at work - not my crumb - just managed to stop myself before it went in my mouth - chocoholic alert  :o:o :rotfl::rotfl:
