Vodafone and Whatsapp calls

Hi,

I am considering to move from GiffGaff (that is ok, but internet many times is a _best effort_ service) to Vodafone taking the deal with mobiles.co.uk for a Red Entertainment contract.

However, calling abroad from the UK to Europe with Vodafone might be really expensive. 99% of my calls are to parents and using Whatsapp. I googled about possible WhatsApp calls issue with Vodafone as in Germany and Italy in past mobile providers were used to slow down/blocks third parties internet calls, but I got no info.

Does anyone have ever had a bad experience?
