Smodlet, I do not think it is an accident that the address for the serving of notices given in the tenancy agreement is the same address as the rental property. I think the landlord has done this on purpose because he is hiding something, maybe something from the mortgage lender or something from the council i.e. he has converted a house into flats without planning permission, or he's making it look like this property is his main residence to HMRC. In other words the landlord using the address to hide his dodging dealings.0

OP you could try posting details of the storage heater (make, model etc) on the 'in my home' section of the forum, there are some very clever people there who might have ideas if it is something that could be easily fixed, potentially by yourself0
