Januaray NSD Challenge 2018 1st Jan 18 at 10:34 AM
I created this thread as I couldnt see one for December. I dont own this challenge but know others would like to see a January one.

This challenge is about setting yourself a weekly / monthly target of how many No Spend Days you would like to try and achieve during the month of January.
Keep us updated with your progress and hope you all have a great start to the new year.

    To join,
just post your personal target and you are on your way.

    Tips for the challenge;
    1. Decide on a clear goal weekly or monthly of how many No Spend days you'd like to try and achieve

    2. Create a list of allowances...What counts as a spend and what doesn't. Keep the list on you so you don't fall of the wagon or make exceptions for everything

    3. Keep a tally of how many NSDs you get. See if you can beat your previous amount!

Hi. I would like to join please. I will aim for 12 NSD's for January. However I will try for more.

My exceptions are: Doesn't include the weekly grocery shop, weekly fuel fill up or any debt payments. Only spends from my account are counted as they are more than likely unnecessary spends or bargain spends lol.

Good luck everyone. The 1st was a NSD but the 2nd was a spend of £1.60 on bargain buy . Back to work today so it will be a NSD today. I purposely have no cash in my purse left so I cannot spend in work(I work in a supermarket so high risk of temptation:no more! Lol)

    2/12 done.

I have 1 nsd already for yesterday.
    I'm aiming for one today.

    I'm home from work early,
I wasn't needed anywhere in the nursery and because I'm working over my hours next week and on;y having 1 half day , not 2, they've allowed me to come home early to make up for it.

I'm watching goosebumps but really should be doing housework.
Im just so tired...it's been a busy few weeks.

Hi, could I join please? I have no excuse not to be able to rack up the NSDs this month and I'm hoping that being accountable to you folks will help me!

I'm not including regular food spends as they come out of our joint account but any other spending is to be avoided!

The 1st was ND number one and today should be number two. I'm aiming for 15 as this is my first time joining a challenge.

Thanks and good luck to everyone!

    NSD #2 bagged today

Stayed home, eventually got the motivation to declutter the storage cupboard in our kitchen.
It wasn't too bad, just things needed to be thrown, reshuffled to look neat and tidy or to be placed in their allocated section. Found 1 bottle of anti bac spray & half of one, Also found some "elbow grease" oil spray which works wonders on the hob of our oven.

A lot of cardboard to go but have to wait a while as recycling from the christmas period needs to be gone & also the cardboard in the outside cupboard needs to be gone too.
Estimated it would take 3 weeks or so for all cardboard to go.

A spend day today I'm afraid, but it was worth it. Spent £6.70 on the bridge toll as partner had a job interview and £2.52 on snacks and much needed paracetamol, stress headache due to nerves aww, whilst waiting for his interview lol. £9.22 spent and the rest went in the penny jar. So only 2/12 NSD's so far. Work tomorrow so it should be my third NSD. I can do this
