Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit

I had an accident at work about 9 years ago, I hurt my back and was off work a few months. Everything was noted in accident book at time. Over the past few years I have been reducing my hours at work as I cannot bare to sit too long at my desk with pain and discomfort due to back injury. Thankfully my employer are happy to let me do this and I haven't missed too much work because of this. Could I be entitled to this benefit IIDB? or does the injury have to be a recent one?
Thanks in advance
