Home & Contents - New Build

Hi,
in processes of securing new build house (first time buyer) and am currently looking at Home & Contents insurance and was hoping someone can advise if there are any companies that offer specific first time buyers (new build) B & C insurance policies?
Also where is the best place to view the 'best' H&C insurance companies in terms of reviews, value, customer service etc?

Kind Regards
Si

What is your need for it to be specialising in FTB?

You don't insure a newbuild until completion, where for a 'normal' purchase, you insure from exchange of contracts.

You can use any insurer which offers buildings & contents insurance but you may not be able to arrange the cover easily online of the postcode hasn't yet been added to insurer databases. You may have to pick the phone up and speak to them.

I can think of a couple of insurers in the broker sector which offer three months free cover to FTBs and last but not least, make sure your cover has 'trace & access.'

Thanks for the feedback, who are some of the most highly rated home and contents insurance companies currently?
Co-op have a very compatitive priced based on a quote I received earlier today and have also looked at Aviva and M&S but any other suggestions are more than welcome.

There are no shortage of companies that will do you a competitive quote. The building insurance part is usually cheap because new builds are usually covered by a 10-year NHBC warranty against structural defects.
