  • And so another week starts, but at least this week is pay week! Yay!

DH put another 50p in the Penguin Pot this morning and I have finally had a payment from £co for £5.87 which I have moved to the house fund directly.

I am really hoping that the nights getting lighter are going to push me into getting more motivated. I seem to get a bit done and then stop - can't be bothered. Like the Director's Report - its still work in progress, but hope to have it finished this evening. (Needs to be as it's got to be checked and submitted before Friday this week).

Tonight's tea is Salmon with (free) flavoured butter and HM Savoury Rice. Quick, easy and tasty.

  • Draft Director's Report is done - awaiting feedback. Going to bring the accounts to work tomorrow to put into a pdf so I can file online. The Director's Report just needs putting in format with a few photos when people have looked at it. Its all going to be last minute as usual...

No real MSE or MFW news.

Chicken, Broccolli and Mushroom Stir Fry with noodles tonight.

Need to make my shopping list and Mr T have sent me some vouchers for £6 off a £40 shop (and 2 more £4 off a £40 shop - but I don't think I will be using them). Also need to add one more meal to my plan as one of my nights out has been changed.

    Hope everyone is well.

Oops, I should have known not to come on here, I'm waiting for phonecalls and haven't had lunch yet.... I'm starving now. :rotfl:

Pearl barley risotto.. that's going on the list, I have some that needs using up and handily have a squash that needs demolishing as well, that should do nicely. :j
a penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. The conditions are always impossible | The only thing you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library
  • Sorry PM! Food is a bit of an obsession for me...hope you managed to have something to eat 4.15pm and no lunch doesn't make for happy bunny!

Just had a bit of digital declutter (thanks to PFTP) - I will see how this affects the e-mails coming in - then I might stand a chance of sorting out the e-mails that I have got!

MSE news today - resisted KFC for lunch (2 of my colleagues had it) - had my last portion of HM Soup and the last of my Christmas Brie on Toast for lunch (no more cheese now for a good while).

Need to go to Mr T on the way home to get some bread rolls as we are completely out of bread 1 day early! My spend for today should be less than £1!

Venison & Pork Sausages with Red Cabbage, Carrots, Mash and Onion Gravy on the menu tonight - judging by the dreadful weather today it will be just the job.

Need to pop to MissNext on the way home to take some of my purchases back - alot that are too big - their sizing seems all wrong - petite stuff fits, but standard tops in the same sizes seem to be huge!

Happy Hump Day everyone - Pay Day tomorrow.

    Happy Hump Day everyone

And to you, MCI. I know KFC is total crap, but I find it very hard to resist! :)

Your dinner sounds lovely as well, and venison is very lean from memory?

I love KFC too - Zingers are my downfall. :rotfl:

Yes, the venison sausages are quite lean in comparison. 10g fat per sausage for our normal sausages we use for breakfast on a Sunday, just 4.4g per sausage for the venison and pork:) All the butter in the mash and red cabbage made up for that though:)

  • Pay Day! Yay!

£413 transferred to the house fund (including £90 sweep of current account). Signature now updated...

£90 put in my savings (other half of the sweep) plus usual £50 = £140 total.

£240 added to pot for Christmas/Birthdays/Car Expenses/Clothes etc...

Directors Report tweeked, just need to format and send off now. Shouldn't take long to get that done this evening.

Stuff returned and re-ordered at MissNext - walked there in the rain after work.

Shopping list done - quite small - just one lot of fish (for Valentine's Day Meal), no meat and no alcohol. Herr A tonight and Mr T tomorrow.

Tonight's tea is Paella using prawns from the freezer and some leftover ham in the fridge (with some nice spicy paprika!) - looking forward to that.
