Pay day today so have managed to put another £600 into the savings pot this month. Wanted to put more, however my utility bills this month were a little higher than expected. Hoping to add possibly some more money later this month after a few ebay sales.
Good news this month for me is a promotion at work, so hoping when I do get a pay rise, to be able to add to my savings goal this year.House deposit..............£30000 :j0 -
Being new to mse & this thread I'm not sure on protocol. Do I need to update the s/s myself? I can't view the easy update one. Can someone let me know please.
I'm no 42 & have saved €1k this month. Yay 0 -

Good going!
Usually you'd fill in the easy update form and Slowlyfading updates the spreadsheet. Seems we're still having technology issues just now.Save 12K in 2018 #20 - £20,890/£18,000 (116%) November £1950

I'm currently well on track, but had completely forgotten that the car is due for its MOT before the 24th this month.
We don't budget for car maintenance/repairs separately so that'll be a dent in the amount I'll be declaring at the end of january. Keeping my fingers crossed it's below £500. Above that and we need to seriously think about whether it's worth it in the long run. More than £1000 and we definitely buy a new car, but between 500 and 1000 it'll probably depend on what the repairs are.Save 12K in 2018 #20 - £20,890/£18,000 (116%) November £1950

Welcome
And well done all. This week a lot of people give up on new year's resolutions apparently, so hopefully this thread will make saving more of a lifestyle change than a quick fad.Save 12 k in 2018 challenge member #79

My bursary has come through for the month, so I can finally make a start. £100 into ISA-land. That might be it for this month, but I am happy.Save £12k in 2024 #29

Am I too late to join this? If not then please put me down for £8K. I would try for more, but I am probably having 3 holidays this year, so will be limited. I assume it's ok to include AVCs that I have just started to put away for my planned retirement in 5 years? I won't include my normal pension contributions to my DB pension.0
