What did you spend it on???

I too am now so acute on keeping records on the family spending - right down to I split the shopping bill into sections so I can see what I am spending the housekeeping on!
And as for the DVD and CD collection - its amazing how you dont need it when your paying cash! And if we really really want something, its much cheaper online anyway!
I haven't spent a penny over my "allowance" since cutting up the credit cards in the new year and I actually have saved some money - for the first time ever, I have more than one zero in my savings account! So its not a lot, but its mine!
Now hubby has lost his job, finding the negotiated payments is a struggle and we too think Bankruptcy is the only way (owe £35k), but babatjie, you really have to sort yourself out or you may find yourself in the same situation again.
(says she who is off to book a cheap weekend break for her and hubby. BUT we havent had one for ages, desperately need the break due to a horrendous year and I have saved hard for this. Its also the last one we'll have for ages!)0 -

Its mostly CDs and nights out for me - luckily though, we have a rewards scheme at work where I can earn points & redeem them as CD WOW vouchers. Thats my cd addiction paid for with a bit of hard work!

As a result, I've decided that i'm no longer just a "collector". I've gone to the next level - that of the "completist". A completist cannot simply buy Kasabian's album, for example. Oh no - not when there's :-
Processed Beats with a wraparound flag sleeve
Reason Is Treason with a cutout sleeve
Club Foot on 10" and CD single
LSF on 10" and 2 CD singles
Processed Beats reissue on 10" and 2 CD singles
Cutt Off on 10" and 2 CD singles
Club Foot reissue on 10" and 2 CD singles
and that's even before we start talking about the Japanese versions which include live tracks from the Tokyo Summersonic Festival. As you can see - it's bad and not getting any better!!!Mortgage Feb 2001 - £129,000
Mortgage July 2007 - £0

Your addiction is far worse than mine! LOL
When I hear 1 song that I like, I have to buy the full album - whether or not the rest of the band's music is awful - made a few errors that way but had a few pleasant surprises too.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 027

I understand completely!!!! Maybe you should look on it as an investment - I'm sure that some of the albums will become collector's items. . . and a complete set, well!!!!!!!0 -
