old bank acc in maidan name...geting funds back

hi all

dont know if this is the correct thread??

ive got £200 in a building society acc but its in my maiden name...my current account at the bank is in married name (although now divorced) ...how do i get the fund out..

the building society acc is a postal thingy with birmingham midshires...

any advice greatfully receied!!!

hehehe that was my feeling too... do i change acc in to marreid name then get a cheque or ask them for a cheque when i send in divorce/ marrage papers??

include photocopies of marriage and divorce certificates. They ought to then be able to change the name to your current name so problem solved.
