Student / benefits advice

Hi. I am looking for some advice and not sure where to find it. My son finished Uni 30.04.17, and is now out of work. He has found a job ( dream job ), and has signed a contract but does not start until 04.09.17. He now has 4 months of no job and no money, Not bothered about the former but the latter is a major problem. Not entitled to job seekers allowance but could he apply for anything else?
