So today was back to work, had a new team member join today so went into the office: lift shared with the gf and took full packed lunch to save pennies so it was a NSD :D

Went to the gym after work, ran a 5km on the treadmill and did 22minutes on the cross trainer so a little shattered now. Made courgette spaghetti and Quorn Bol for dinner so feeling a little virtuous today.

My new sim is up and running so once my EE contract runs out on 24th I will be paying £10 a month. Hooooray!

Booked a contact lens appt for later in the week as I'm on the boots scheme, however counted up lenses and I have enough for 22 weeks continuous wear :O

Once had the check up I shall either cancel the plan or freeze it for 6 months. Not sure whether to just cancel and then start ordering through lenstore as they also do quidco cash back ;)

Pay day on Friday so just trying to get through the week with minimal spending.

Signed up to Bounts this weekend too so will keep that going daily to gain points; I'm active anyways so may as well get the points and eventually vouchers!

Off to do free postcode lottery and then curl up on the sofa with the good lady and watch some catch up- started 13 years (BBC) drama on I player yesterday and am hooked- gripping drama!

    :-D

Thank you both, we are over the moon today! :-D

Been trying so hard not to spend and this has given me the spur on to keep looking at ways to maximise savings for new house stuff (floors, furniture etc)!!

So mortgage deal is 2.99 interest so not the lowest but not high either :)

On the back of yesterday's fab news I shall continue recording the steps I'm taking to become MFW (once we have it) by being in the best position for point of buying the house:

    So far this week:
All lunches and snacks packed for work
Car shared mon- weds, working from home today and have company car for drive to Manchester tomorrow
No coffees from canteen or Starbucks
    Did free postcode lottery daily
Received Bounts points daily by smashing 7000 steps per day
Utilised free fruit this work to top up snacks instead of buying.
Went on lunch time walks around the industrial site rather than walking to sainsbobs or M&S to curb the urge to spend!

We have the house choices appointment on Sunday lunch where we have to choose whether to have inbuilt appliances etc (at a cost) and then choose the tiling, cupboards doors etc. Have to pay 10% upfront so fingers crossed its not too costly!

Well done on the savings, I also find just avoiding the shops is the best way to curb spending!

Big congratulations on the mortgage offer :j :j
