The gu's say no freezing and it's because the glass pots are not made to a freezing standard...having said that I've frozen things in them when they have been empty without a problem.

All to do do with food standards health and safety issues and the potential that the pots could crack when frozen and splinter the glass into the dessert.

silly me, i put one gu jar in the freezer to test.
i could have put the one i emptied :o straight away :o in there to test the glass

I hadn't found them when you posted. :p

I'm wondering if a day is long enough though, surely you would need to try varying stages of frozen, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month etc for a proper test. ;)

Let us know how it goes before you have to clear up broken glass

contents will reach -16c in one day. i was wanting to test the contents once defrosted for taste and texture as well as testing the glass. but do wish i tested the glass 1st

Thanks zippy we did realise but I won't Mr TS will. ;) He was hoping if plumber needed that board up too he would saw directly above joist so board would be half and half on it if you know what I mean. I did try to explain to plumber but don't think he understood what I was trying to say so I didn't interfere any more. If he had just opened airing cupboard door and sawn few inches over we probably wouldn't need the block. But you can't have a woman telling a man how do to his job can you. :o
plumber done it correct, as he did not want to cut into joist. its how i would have done it.

    Afternoon all

See everyone is enjoying the PE and GU glitch Scamps bought over.
Not joined in although very tempted. Wouldn't eat the pizza but I know Ns lads will. Keep telling myself it is worth it just for the GUs.
Getting train to dd tonight as off on another spa break at our favourite centre parcs tomorrow. DD happens to live right near a big mr T so think I will scratch my itch and fill up her fridge if there are any left. I know the prices end in morrisons on 14th but does anyone know when the deal ends in mr T please?
Wondering if will be working for a while?

Don't know what the waspgate post was but the best treatment for a wasps nest is ANT POWDER - get the one with the holes in the top - you puff it into and around the hole of the nest ( hopefully accessible) at about 8pm when the wasps have gone to bed ;)
. They get it on their feet and take it on into the nest. I have never had to repeat the exercise on the same nest :)

    Thank you :A
The powder we bought today is ant powder, it has exactly the same active ingredient in the same quantity as the wasp version. We have bought one with a nozzle top, as it was impossible to puff it upwards last night with the other one we had.
Now just need to decide whether to puff or spray at sundown :D:D
I suppose the cheaper option would be to fill the nest with GU and let them slowly drift into a sugar-induced coma :rotfl::rotfl:
