Just done my last shop of May and over budget by £9.35. Still, not too bad. I'm going to blame it on a Tossco online shop at the beginning of the month buying super large bags of dried beans, lentils and cornmeal to stock up.
So today I spent £12.72 in b-m and £49.09 in Ald!
Shall try to do better in June. See you all over on the June ChallengeGrocery Challenge - Sept £205.56/£350.000 -

Update for another spend of £18 in Ald! at the weekend so has taken our total spend for the month so far to 201.76.
We are meal planned up to Friday, I need to do an inventory of what is left tonight or tomorrow to try and eek it out to the end of the month. I suspect another fiver may need to be spent but I am hopeful it can be done without that.0 -
Up to £190.40 now. Did a top up shop in Aldi but also bought some bits to take to work for a leaving picnic for someone.
We've realised that we're still throwing bits out, so the next thing on our money saving list is to meal plan each week to try and stop this. Really am chuffed to bits at the savings we've made on groceries already with the help from everyone on here. Thank you!0 -
I haven't been updating here, but today is payday and my grocery spends for May were £191.27 so £8.73 under budget!Starting a new debt free journeyStarting Debt: £5,250Current Debt: £4,995.50Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%Emergency Fund: £3500

Spent £8.25 in Lidl - which included their formil clothes liquid - never used it b4 - it was £1.99. Normally buy Aldi's brand, which is better than all the big brands. I'm transitioning to vegan, so using up all the fish left in the freezer. I find if I only mainly stock the fridge, I am forced to use freezer and cupboard stores - it's working. Shouldn't need to shop until Saturday - and only some salad and veg.0

£6.10 spent on 23/5/16 for Work snacks. First time in ages that I have bought specifically for work.
As of yesterday, as yesterday was the last day for April/May month for me - total spend £94.27.
I was expecting to be under budget, as I am not at home every day at the moment, so no big shops for me for the next few months.
Will update sigs soon.

£8 on dog food at the butcher and £14.84 in Tesco - I had £2 off £20 and £3.50 clubcard vouchers and most of the stuff I bought was on special offer so did quite well. That said, I am now officially over budget, £252.96/£250 with a week still to go. This is the first time I have joined the GC and it has really made me think about what I am spending. I will do better in June!Fashion on the ration challenge 2023: 66 - 2 = 64 - 1.5 = 62.50
