I promise you that August will whizz round really fast. I remember at new year I was thinking 'I will be debt free THIS year'... I wasn't sure quite when as I wasn't sure what I could pay off when, but I was determined to throw all I could at it to get it gone.
And don't worry, I'm never going back there again. I am in the middle of setting up monthly payments to a high interest account (instant access) so that whenever an expected bill come in, the money will be there to pay for them- home insurance, car insurance, pet insurance, etc etc
My debt was all built up from my OH being ill and not able to work so I was paying bills with cards etc, and then I was just living beyond our means - nothing too fancy, just shopping at Sainsbobs and buying brands, rather than Lidl -that sort of thing. My budget works well now, I use cash instead of card and I have no intention at all of changing. I do NOT want debt again.
Payday tomorrow, and for the first time in about 15 years all the money I earn from both jobs will actually be mine (except for the mortgage). I can't wait.PAYDBX 2016 #55 100% paid! :j Officially bad debt free...don't count my mortgage.
Now to start saving...it's a whole new world!!0 -
