We shall see tomorrow when he signs the contract. He seems very genuine. Please let it be ok. I am going to save as much as possible of the money.

My Christmas tree looks great. I did a really healthy food shop for £23 and spent £8 on taxis.

Hello my darling, I don't know what I would have done without all the kind messages my friends have been sending me. I was soo down but now I am feeling a bit better. I do need to have a change in my life and this is the first of it. I have started. I can't believe that I have put up with all the rubbish at work for so long.

It is gorgeous outside and I have done one clothes wash and now I have a lesson to plan. I have put some curry in the slow cooker (first time ever) and have vacuumed. I had to order a charger for my karcher machine as I couldn't find it. Now I am going to plan a lesson and chill. It is gorgeous outside. I think this may be a good day.

Omg. he came, he's moving in today. I am so happy. All is well. I will have money again.

I am paying in my rent money tomorrow as the tenant will be setting up a direct debit for next month. Almost all of this will go into savings and paying off the mortgage.

It is just such a relief.

I paid the money into the bank, bought some healthy whoopsied food & essential things (total cost was £13 including the bus back). I am now cooking a sausage casserole.

Then I have two lessons to write and some tidying to do. All is well.

Definitely Skint Yet Again, when I went shopping today I didn't have to worry about the cost of the bus or how much I spent on whoopsies. It is such a nice feeling. I had not realised how trapped I felt on the new lower salary - it's like being released. The key now is to make sure that the tenant stays nice. He is legal and has been added on the council tax etc.

Please let it all work out.

The weather is rubbish outside. Absolutely wintery and awful.

OMG Skint Yet Again he has paid early. He has been really clean, polite and tidy. He is really nice. I am so pleased. I hope he stays here long term as he is great.

The financial side of things have improved massively. I feel so much more secure and utterly grateful. He drinks as much tea as me and also likes crisps. Am so pleased.

I am so pleased for you

I've been a lodger for almost ten years and I know how difficult it is to find a good person... I have also heard many funny/horror stories from both landlords and tenants

It's nice to know there are good lodgers out there. Everyone keeps saying it's early days, but he really is good. I am sure he will stay this nice. I do hope so. It has helped so much I have peace of mind that someone is in the house and also financially it has been a godsend.

Today I have done some washing, been to supermarket - spend was £25. I have done some work prep and some marking too. Am now taking the night off and am going to chill.

I needed inspiration after work as too tired to cook so shared a Chinese with housemate. Cost £15. It was lovely though.
