Money Moral Dilemma: Should I split my lottery winnings?

Options
This week's MoneySaver who wants advice asks...

A friend lent me a couple of quid to buy a lottery ticket, and I ended up winning a sizeable sum (not in the millions by any means, but it's more than I earn in a year). I paid him back later that day, but should I share some of my winnings with him?

Personally, I would share my winnings with whoever loaned me the money.

I wouldn't borrow to play the lottery, I don't do the lottery anyway...

Spend it all on lottery tickets, then you'll be sure to win enough to give us all a tidy sum, and we can retire from responding to these silly MSE threads!

Unless you are prepared to give 50% of the winnings to your mate, then it may not be seen as fair.

If you want your win to be anonymous, then don't give anything.

If your friend said 2I'll buy one as well, and if either of us win we can divide between the two of us" fine - split it, if not no.

Don't spend it all at once.
