TPS - Total Parking Solutions Charge Notice

Just received a 'Charge Notice' from TPS today.
I parked for over two hours in a store car park... just didnt realise there were any restrictions. There were probably signs, but I didnt see them. I havent been back to look yet.
What would be my best course of action please? Fine is £60 or £40 for immediate payment.
Thanks

Best course of action? Read a few threads already running, then come back if you have any unanswered questions.
You get a prize if you find the thread that supports the bit in red above.
If these figures are correct (£60 and £40), then they have broken the BPA guidelines and you have a good claim on a POPLA appeal, should you wish to go down that route.
But please get clued up from reading some existing threads and then come back with any points of clarification. You are no different from most of the others on here and the general advice will be the same.0 -
I have trawled around the threads today but really struggling on time! :-/
Just hoping someone could point me generally in the right direction...
Do I pay or do I appeal? At £40 I am tempted to pay just to get it out of the way... but then this is exactly how the knobbers make their money so I am very reluctant!!! Thanks0 -
You most certainly do not pay
Either appeal or just ignore, then if they reject it we can help you do an appeal to popla
oh its not a fine, its an invoiceProud to be a member of the Anti Enforcement Hobbyist Gang.:D:T0 -
For goodness sake! Even the most cursoory "trawl" of this forum would show that no-one would ever reccomend paying!cardogycawr wrote: »I have trawled around the threads today but really struggling on time! :-/

Right this is now my new standard reply about any PPC as I am struggling to type the same thing again and again, answering new threads every day saying the same thing as the last thread.
Here's the forum, and top right above the threads there's a 'search this forum' button:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...play.php?f=163
Put these words in 'fake PCN appeal'.
Click to change the search to 'show posts' (NOT left at the default search 'show threads').
Read threads from the last month or so - and then challenge the fake PCN without naming the driver. Let us know the reply.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

I received a charge notice some time back from TPS. Flimsy low quality paper with a picture of my car. Red the bloggs and just filed it away. Now they have sent the demand..oh increased demand from 'Debt Recovery Plus Ltd'. This firm based at a different address. Again just says I need to pay the amount owing or they will 'recommend' to the creditors solicitor that court action should be taken. I have read on the bloggs that they don't go as far as taking people to court.
Should I just sit tight and file this paper with ther others? Original TPS document came on 10th May, this one on 12th july...!0 -
Please start your own thread. But you are too late now to appeal, so just keep ignoring them unless they send real court papers (highly unlikely, particularly since they have probably already failed to comply with the law on keeper liability in about a dozen entertaining ways).Je suis Charlie.0

What you need to do first is to start your own thread, because what's written here for the OP is outdated and all things PPC are pretty fluid (other than the constant that they are scammers), so advice morphs as time progresses.
Your own thread will guarantee you get the most up to date advice for your own specific case (provided no one hijacks it).
So copy and paste your post above, and thnk of an eye-catching title for the thread and advice will come. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
