Been discharged since middle of 2009 and it has been such a relief living the last 4 years without debt. I don't owe anybody a penny having never applied for any credit since then.
Today I get a letter from Arrow Global/Debt Managers Services Ltd trying to collect a debt that was included in BR that "they have just purchased"
I phoned and I have sorted it out (I think!) but it did stir up all those horrible memories. Their excuse when I gave them all the BR details was that " we've never been informed" - Well excuse me it's a public record! so before they start sending out letters like this they should check these things out themselves and not put the onus on us to prove to them.. These companies really need to be cracked down on.

That is pretty much what I told them when they phoned!
I refused to give any further details..[as you say, it's on public record]...and told them to take the matter up with whoever sold them the debt in the first place!!!
I haven't heard from them since!
It is ever so nice when you know you have the upper hand?
And have no obligation whatsoever to provide any further information to them? No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -
I have just received a letter from Arrow Recoveries too! Looks like they got a bad deal as I went B/r over 2 years ago!0

I had a change to my credit report saying that I owed money to Arrow Global ... BR 2007 so well out of date. Called them and explained that I didn't owe them a penny and to remove the info from my credit reports which they said would take up to 30 days ...
Fast forward to yesterday, letter arrives saying I owe them money from an Egg load but no need to contact them as a payment plan is in place!
I think they are just blanket mailing everyone ... trying to get blood out of a lot of stones.0 -

Funny they say " we've never been informed" . Why on earth would they have been informed if they just bought the debt! It had nothing to do with them that long ago. Idiots just trying it on. I'm sure they know the majority of the information is inacurate if they are buying debt going back to 2007!

i got a letter from these bunch of parasites wanting a debt in which i didnt owe or have any knowledge of owing , i sent them a prove it letter i wont deal with them on phone best to do it all by letter , i did send a covering lettering explaining if its found to be fraudulent the appropriate steps for prosecution will be made towards them , touch wood i havent heard a thing from them since
they are trying to get blood out of stones by hoping we are mug enough to pay them , especially when the debt isnt on any credit report , all they are is a bunch of parasites really ! 0 -
My OH got a letter from them yesterday - regarding a debt he does owe but the amount is wrong, which is odd because they contacted him in February and the amount owed then was correct - it's gotten miraculously bigger!!!Don't try to keep up with the Joneses - Drag them down to your level - it's cheaper .

Have you checked your credit report since this?
Arrow have a nasty habit of sometimes re-registering old defaults or changing the date to make them appear more recent than they should be. Often using the date they were sold the account. They did this with one of mine, and have done the same with many others that I've seen.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
