Help! Fluid account logging on as Virgin account

Hello,

I activated my online account with Fluid after cancelling my account with Virgin.

When I log on to my Fluid account online, it logs on to my Virgin account!

Why is this? I can't seem to get on to my Fluid account.

Thanks

So when you log in, you can see all your MBNA accounts.

I can't see my Fluid account though, just the Virgin 'Inactive' one?

Is there an "Add card" button?

Yes. Shall I add the Fluid card, do you think?

Ok, just tried that and got this message....

"This name and account number combination is already registered in this or another Online Card Services profile.

If you have more than one Online Card Services profile, you can call the following number to delete one: 0800 015 0306."

I've tried adding the card going through the Fluid site and also the Virgin site and still no joy. Any ideas? Very frustrating.

I may end up having to call them.

Probably an issue with MBNA's online platform. Quite annoying that the system cannot handle more than one card on the same account!

It can, but if you simply activate and register online it won't link the two. When I took out my MBNA platinum last year, I remembered that my Virgin card, closed in 2009, was still fully visible. I had to login to my old account and add it through that, now they're both visible together.

It doesn't prompt you of this, however, but then I assume its because it doesn't automatically link the two accounts (especially, as in my case) if the old one was closed at a previous address.
  • When you applied for the Fluid card, were you asked to create a new username? I have both Virgin and Fluid CC's and each one has a separate login name. Maybe try the "Forgot username" option (assuming there is one - I'm not on the site at the moment).

You need to make sure you log out of the account first, if you just close using the x at the top of the page this will nt work.

Log out and then log into your fluid account and that should do it.
