Magazine dailies & an iPad

As many of you know, doing the dailies (especially the magazine ones) take up a bit of time. Last week I decided to take my iPad and Wi-Fi dongle out with me to bingo. Needing something to do to pass the time between games, I started doing the magazine dailies.

It seems that, because there is no Flash Player on the iPad, the videos won't play, so you just get the option to submit the answer (like the Woman's Weekly ones).

In less than an hour in total, I had completed them all! No videos and the only "difficult" part was counting how many I wanted to enter on Woman's Own and What's On TV so I knew how many to share to get the extra entries.

Hope that info helps someone - I know not everyone has an iPad, I'm still looking for a quicker way to do them on the laptop xx

I don't have an ipad - been trying for ages to win one & I currently don't even own a smartphone - had to give up on winning one * buy one though because we've called for the last rites on my current one.

Do you know how sad these posts make me

aww hunnie, I'm sorry, I didn't want to make anyone cry - just some people happy that they could do the mag dailies quicker

Thanks jaibaby I will try this tomorrow, when the videos first came out I couldn't play them on the ipad but they also didn't accept the entry so I've been doing them on the pc ever since but will try again and see if it now goes through

That's exactly what I do too. I get into bed at midnight and spend about an hour doing the dailies. It is surprisingly quick.

Snap! Haha - I've been in bed late every night so far this week trying to catch up so do them before I drop off.

Yeah, it didn't work on some for the first few days but they all go through ok now for me

I haven't been doing the dailies for a while now so just seen this new video thing. The videos aren't showing for me in either Chrome or Firefox, there's just a blank space where it says the video should be. Nothing ever loads, and I never get a submit button.

Has anyone else had this and worked out how to fix it???

I think the videos wont run if you have an ad blocker turned on. I found they worked if you disable the ad blocker for each of the mags.

I do my comps on an ipad and couldn't enter when they introduced those pesky videos. I emailed the mags to say it was a retrograde step to introduce comps that couldn't be entered on modern devices like ipads. A few days later the comps all worked again, no videos so I thought the mags had abandoned them. I didn't realise PC users still had to put up wiith them.
Enjoy it while it lasts, ipad users. I'm sure the magazine techies are working on a way of getting the ads over to us.
