There are a host of hidden companies that allow you (and a friend) to see films for free, and before they're released; often thousands of tickets are available. These agencies work as publicists with the intention of getting people to spread the word about the films they see. It's good psychology, after all if you've seen something for nothing, you may be more favourable to it - meaning your friends may pay to see it.
Agencies
Sign up to agencies' email addresses so you'll be notified of the screenings. Be aware that you're likely to get some 'third party' promotional stuff through to the same address, that's the price you pay. You could use a second e-mail address for this sort of material; many freebie hunters do this as a matter of course. You can set up a Hotmail or Gmail account in minutes, just be sure to check it occasionally! (see this week's gmail tip for info)
How do I then get to see a film?
When preview screenings become available, you'll recieve a code in your email which you can use to redeem tickets on the relevant website. Just type it in and follow the on-screen instructions to claim tickets. You'll usually get two tickets for each screening. They're non-transferable, so if you want to swap them you'll need to change the booked name by email.

Be guest of honour at The Big Wedding
Your wedding is supposed to be the most memorable day of your life. It’s a time for family to come together, celebrate and be happy. Or so you’d think...
Missy and Alejandro are all set to tie the knot. But when Alejandro’s dysfunctional family are reunited, their big day is in serious danger of being remembered for all the wrong reasons.
Things would have turned out fine if Alejandro’s extremely conservative and religious biological mother hadn't decided to show up unexpectedly. So when his long divorced adoptive parents are forced to play the happy couple again, hilarity quickly ensues.
With an all-star cast including Robert De Niro, Katherine Heigl, Diane Keaton and Robin Williams, this romantic comedy promises to be one of the funniest movies of the year and you could see it first.
Prepare for the biggest event of the year as Hollywood’s finest unite for The Big Wedding (Cert TBC), a romantic comedy about a modern family trying to survive a wedding celebration that has the potential to become a full blown family fiasco.
It’s Minny (Amanda Seyfried, Mamma Mia) and Alejandro’s (Ben Barnes, Dorian Gray) big day and with family and friends coming from all over the world, they want it to go without a hitch.
So to the amusement of everyone in the know, Alejandro’s parents, divorced couple Don (Robert De Niro, Meet the Fockers) and Ellie Griffin (Diane Keaton, Morning Glory), must pretend to be married to fool Alejandro’s religious biological mother.
With all of the wedding guests looking on, the Griffins are hilariously forced to confront their past, present and future, and hopefully avoid killing each other in the process.

The Iceman is the story of real-life mob hitman Richard "The Iceman" Kuklinski, who was reportedly responsible for over 200 murders. Richard Kuklinski (Michael Shannon) and his wife Deborah (Winona Ryder) appear to have a model American life, living with their three children in an idyllic suburban ranch house with a big lawn on a quiet street. But unbeknownst to Deborah and the kids, when Kuklinski goes off to work in the morning — or, on occasion, in the middle of dinner or the middle of the night — he is carrying out executions at the behest of the Gambino crime family, employing a wide variety of deadly methods (guns, knives, explosives, strangling, poisonings) that make it difficult to trace all the fatalities to a single killer. The Iceman shows the development of Kuklinski's career from the 1950s through the 1980s, chronicling his friendship with Gambino soldato Roy DeMeo (Ray Liotta), his mentorship under assassin Robert "Mister Softee" Pronge (Chris Evans), and his troubled relationship with his brother Joseph (Stephen Dorff), who, like Richard, was plagued by sociopathic tendencies all his life. From Lionsgate UK and Millennium Films, The Iceman stars Michael Shannon, Winona Ryder, Ray Liotta, Chris Evans and James Franco. The film is directed by Ariel Vromen, from a script by Vroman and Morgan Land and based on the book by Anthony Bruno. The film is produced by Ariel Vroman, Ehud Bleiberg and Avi Lerner and executive produced by Trevor Short, Danny Dimbort, Boaz Davidson, Ren! Besson, Lati Grobman and Laura Rister.

SUMMER IN FEBRUARY is set in the years running up to the First World War and focuses on the wild and bohemian Lamorna Group, dominated by the charismatic Alfred Munnings. The incendiary anti-Modernist Munnings, now one of Britain’s most sought-after artists, is at the heart of a complex love triangle, also involving aspiring young painter Florence Carter-Wood and Gilbert Evans, the land agent in charge of the Lamorna estate. True – and deeply moving – the story is played out against the timeless beauty of the Cornish coast, in the far West of England, beyond the reach of London and its stifling conventions.

About the movie
Based on Jonathan Smith’s novel and inspired by real life events, Summer in February (Cert 15) follows the young wild hearts of the Lamorna colony of artists living on the beautiful Cornish coast.
Beyond the reach of London and its stifling conventions, and in the approaching shadow of The Great War, the bohemian Lamorna artists were dominated by the charismatic Alfred James Munnings (Dominic Cooper, The Devil’s Double), now one of Britain’s most sought after artists.
Sweeping the talented and ever-so-candid Florence Carter-Wood (Emily Browning, Sucker Punch) off her feet, the provocative anti-Modernist Munnings finds himself at the centre of a heart wrenching love triangle.
Fighting for Florence’s attention against the land manager of the Lamorna estate, the sweet and agreeable Gilbert Evans (Dan Stevens, Downton Abbey), precocious Munnings falls out of his depth when the competition for the young girl’s love ends with brutal consequences.
For the aspiring members of the bohemian Lamorna Group living in early 20th century Britain, following their dreams made life exciting and carefree. But falling in love wasn’t such an easy ride...
Summer in February reveals the story behind the wild young artists’ group which thrived on the beautiful Cornish coast during the early 1900s.
Muddled by a complex love triangle dominated by the formidable Alfred Munnings, this deeply moving true story is guaranteed to have you fighting back the tears.
With an outstanding cast including Dominic Cooper, Emily Browning and Dan Stevens, it’s a feast for your eyes and soul.
