Your bin or theirs? It could have been retrived after you had left if suspicions had been aroused.

sorry Artha, i dont know the specifics of that case...i was looking it up just now after i posted the human capital comment.

i 'm afraid my knowledge is not exactly current...i've lost touch with the outside world for a good couple of years when we were living down under....we didnt have internet and my sheep was my BFF. We just got back a month ago...

if there were concrete evidence of IT, the FSA would have already looked into it...?

Quite true.

Its an interesting one actually. If he was shoplifting then she'd be expected to report him and failing to do so would obviously be wrong, thats clear cut. However in this case he hasn't actually done anything wrong so there is nothing for her to report.

So even if she knows what he has done, she still hasn't done anything wrong IMO provided its after the fact. She only does something wrong if she points him in the direction of the ood SEL and gets involved for her gain.

IMO she shouldn't have taken the item back but should have left him to do it. She'd have no involvement at all then.

Fudge2 gave the best advice though imo....we can all waffle on here till the cows come home but professional representation at any meeting is essential if the OP wants a favourable outcome from this.

speaking of which, i'll like to recommend the Silver Fern Farms lamb meats - they are absolutely delicious. very tender and juicy. Not sure how much they cost here, but T apparently stock them as i saw the advert for it in real food.

SFF do venison meat as well,..but i dont think tesco stock them just yet. i'll submit a request for it at my local tescos :P

I never quite understood where the £5 MOC coupons came from?
"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being".
"Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that".
"True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".

Take fudges advice...get on the phone and get some proper representation. Your job could well depend on whether you do that.....Tesco will have to play by the rules if you do.

I agree - we could all offer our opinions till the cows come home but you need a proper legal standpoint I think.....

If you go here and select your local store you can then reserve your place on any of the workshops that take your fancy. You can also reserve an appointment at the Genius Bar here too.

Out of interest sake, I tried the ex-in-laws postcode. In an 18 mile radius they have 71 stores to choose from of which 20 are superstore or bigger.

NI really is a small country
Just checked store locator, in a 50mile radius of me there are only 21 stores - 7 expresses, 2 metros, 11 superstores and 1 extra

I don't want to worry you even more but you may find that for the preliminary meeting you are not allowed to take anyone in with you. You are allowed to take somebody (from a specific list of allowed people) after the initial exploaratory meeting. Thats what happened when I was suspended anyway.

We could be having crossed wires here but when you get cc points added onto your account there are two ways of doing it - manually or by scanning the recipt. Manually is usually when I've fluttered my eyelashes and they totalled 3 receipts and hidden that fact with a manual addition. Scanning the receipt means it's automatic (as far as I know).

I know in times past when I've had a DTD they've scanned my receipt then asked me to enter my cc which I've taken to mean there's a record somewhere when they've deducted the cc points.

Getting excited about my trip to T's tonight with a bagful of coupons .
Think I'll checkout my shopping in batches of 10 at a time so they don't get confused or miss any vouchers.

I also fancy getting the new Magners cider flavours (3 for £3.49)
The options drinks - £1 for 8?
My free bar of chocolate (go me!)
And see what the best use of my SSM coupons is.

Probably come back with more shopping than I can fit in my tiny car boot!

IMO you've had some very good advice on this thread and between now and Friday you should be seeking advice from those more knowledgeable and influential (e.g. unions).

Yes ... you need someone with you ... but a professional representative ... not just a friend (unless she has a legal background or is a union rep).

They'll need to do more than just "take notes" ... they need to know your rights as an employee make sure you're treated fairly.

To me this sounds very serious and could have many future implicitions (future employment and benefits if sacked (?))

Also I may be wrong but it also sounds something way and above the scope of a small claims court.

If I were you I'd be on the phone to USDAW/ACAS now.

Good luck.
