No suprise to me that retail stores won't handle outlet stores goods.

Post it back to Bicester youreself maybe? Worst they can do is send it back to you, isn't it?

When I've shopped in one they have always had signs stating that returns can only be made in outlet stores.

Indeed. No quibble with the shop's policy. This blog was more for the fools like me who didn't realise!

You should have shopped in the Fatface at Bicester as they do allow any store returns. I agree with Torry that there are signs up near the cash desks. That policy has meant I've not bought stuff I was on the fence about-coordinating item being at home. Means the businesses are losing out.

  • I just bought stuff from m&s outlet thanks to mse weekly newsletter. Have been badly stung as did not realise the returns policy was different to usual m& s stores or website. I am forced to keep the stuff or pay to return it. This is from their email to me today:

"When ordering from M&S outlet online your contract and payment is through amazon, therefore it is amazon returns policy.

The returns policlearlyearley advised online under the terms and conditions, all unwanted items have to be returned by Royal Mail and is payable by the customer.

In this instance I am unable to refund the returns postage."
