  • :(:(:(:( I started a transaction with this company back in Oct 2011 to recycle my old laptop for £40. After loads of unanswered emails to their Customer Services, this April 2012 they finally offered me £31.50 for my laptop reduced due to condition.
As yet I am still awaiting payment, all emails go unanswered again.
When you start the online transaction, it asks you for your location UK, Germany or France, however all transactions are with the German operation. If I had known this before hand, I won't have used them.
Online they tell you that if you have a question contact Customer Services via phone or email. Waste of time they don't answer emails & a phone call cost me £20 & I hung up after 15 to 20 mins on Hold.
MoneySavingExpert should remove this web site!!! :(:(:(:(
  • It is so easy and quick way to recycle and get cash.It is a good idea to recycle your laptop and keep the environment clean.

    Was it fast and efficient?

To set up the deal Yes, very fast and effiient, in actual use no it was abysmal. Dells handling of the process was good through out the problems though.

Did you get your cash promptly?

No See next answer, to be fair this was not Dell's fault but the subcontracter.

    Did you have any problems?
I returned a monitor, and was due £80. I put a copy of the trade in form on the box, and taped one copy to the monitor screen. The monitor was sent signed for and got to them well within their timescale. I left it the required time then queried the fact I had no payment.

Dell do not do the re-cycling but use a subcontracter, from what Dell and myself can discover the subcontracter lost the monitor. They signed for it and it vanished, despite me supplying details on the type/ make / model and so on, they could not trace it.

The subcontracter claimed it had not been recieved and would not move until I sent Dell the signed proof of delivery at which point they changed to it's in our Warehouse and we need to find it. My and Dell's opinion was they had it but didn't check it in and so had re-cycled it but not tracked it.

After a month of them not being able to find it the Dell folks approved payment, they had proof I returned something, but could not verify what but it was clear the fault was on their subcontracters side.

Did it pay what it said it would?
Yes, they could not track the package but as it was signed for they could not argue they had not recieved it. As they could not check the item full payment was approved and recieved quickly.
