On the section for "If it's the airline's fault"; for delays to destination for journeys 3,500km+, it has "over 3 hrs" and "over 4 hrs". Is this correct? If yes, just to confirm, is there no compensation under 3 hrs?
It says "delay to destination". Does this mean that you claim when you get back, or when you arrive at your destination?0 -

The n/a is alongside the 'meals and calls' but should not be there as clearly meals and calls are in relation to the waiting time for a delayed flight.
The delay to destination comment refers to the amount of compensation that can be claimed is in relation to the number of hours delayed not when you claim which would be on arrival home.0 -

Hi hopsta
Yes the over 3 and 4 hours is correct, you can see the full details on the Air Transport User Council's website here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/32946129#Comment_32946129
Meals and calls are only for delays longer than 4 hours for journeys over 3,500k.
If we had had room on the Little Lifesaver guide, we would have included an 'under 3 hours' entry for 3,500+ km flights, but the compensation amount would have said 'n/a' as there isn't any.
Compentaion is normally claimed/paid when you get home but the 'destination' can be either end of your trip. Eg you could have been delayed for 6 hours on your way out or 6 hours on your way home, or if you were very unluckly 6 hours each way, when you would be entitled to two lots of compensation!*** Get the Martin's Money Tips Free E-mail at www.moneysavingexpert.com/tips ***0 -
I've printed this out to keep for future reference as it looks very useful :T (although I've printed in grayscale as it is such a disgusting shade of 'upset tummy'
) Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endQuidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur0
