10year old son has aloepecia any advice please

took my 10year old son to the docs today and he has aloepecia its only an inch long at the moment but i am a bit concerned about it,the doc was a bit vague about it and i didnt want to ask too much about it in front of my son as i dont want to worry him too much,the doc gave me a prescription for a shampoo in case its a fungal infection i would apprecate any advice please

If it is aloepecia, unfortunately, as far as i know, there isnt a cure for it at present.
Its worth giving the shampoo a go, just in case.

From just simply putting 'aloepecia' into google, quite a lot came up. But as i dont really know alot about it, i dont want to put down the medications here - so go have a good hunt around.

Also might be worth phoning the GP to talk to him when your son's not there. And ask for referral to dermatology? Or are there hair specialists out there?Signature removed for peace of mind0
