Hello, dont know if right thread so feel free to move it.
I want to send a collegue a birthday card and it would be great if i could put some braille on it to say "happy birthday" is there anybody who could print this out in braille (i will send SAE for it) or anywhere i could buy a braille card from?
Unfortunately he is the only person i know with a braille reader and i cant ask him can i?

Have you a local 'Institute for the Blind' or other similar organisation? If so maybe they have those machines or perhaps sell items that are specific for their members like braille brithday cards.
I think it's a sweet idea and if you do get hold of one i am sure your friend will be really touched!0 -
I tried working it out with full-stops (used to be a sighted Braille proof-reader) but gave up and thought, there must be a website! And there is. This is from The Braille Bug

Before you get too confused, the first dot in each word shows that the next letter is a capital, so you have .Happy .Birthday
Now, what I would do is print that off, stick it into the card with repositional sellotape, gently press down on the dots with an old biro till you make a small dent in the card, then turn the card over and press the dents up!
You could add his name even!
Smashing idea, btw.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Don't know if this is of any help but last time I was in Clinton Cards they had 3 different braille birthday cards. Not a great choice but better than nothing.0
