The situation with O2 is a bit more complicated as they haven't dealt with The Mobile Outlet directly. Rather, it appears, has The Mobile Outlet sold it's customers to O2 through Carphone Warehouse or it's sister companies Vanilla Mobile and e2save. I have been told that e2save might take on some responsibility but it does not seem to be certain. Will update when I hear more.
Another miracle? I know it's Easter (almost) but really!! They no longer bother about their own customers so I can only put you fdown as an extremist (optimist department!)

This is true. There are some O2 Cashback deals around. I started a cashback deal with The Mobile Outlet. The invoice with the mobile said that it was from Vanilla Mobile (Part of The Carphone Warehouse).
I have sent a letter to The Mobile Outlet explaining the cashback situation but am yet to get a reply. I didn't even get to claim my 1st chasback!
I am a student and am strugling to pay the £40 a month bill.
I have called O2 and followed the guide on MSE, they wont change the contract.
If there is any way I can deal with The Carphone Warehouse to sort the problem out please can someone let me know.
I've had the same problem - I was supposed to get a chequeback of £240 in March and haven't seen a penny. The Carphone Warehouse have confirmed my bill was received, and Vanilla Mobile won't help at all because they say the contract was set up on their behalf by one of their affiliates. I've cancelled my direct debit to CPW - as far as I'm concerned if I don't get what I was promised, they don't get anything either.
I can't believe a company owned by Martin Lewis of all people (i.e.Vanilla Mobile) would con their customers not good folks, not good...
