Ever heard the expression 'No news is good news'?

Seems that some peoples idea of customer service is based on that principle.

Lucky for me my new connection goes live (with Talk Talk) on the 3rd, yippee, only 24 more hours with Red-!!!!-ten.

Will keep checking the site tho' to see how the court cases come along, I feel a bit of a git for bailing but my offer from Clode to get out was only £3o.oo, so I took it and ran like the rat I am from the sinking deck of HMS Watford !!!!!!s.

Keep up the pressure

Chris, if my offer had been £30 i would have settled too so dont feel bad. Its a matter or principal now for me.

I should be able to enter default judgement against deadten today for what its worth. Still no sign of the defence from Clown, sorry, Clode

That goes for most of us, I actually offered Clode £30 and wrote off my costs in trying to sort the problem, the reply was a single line, "your offer is rejected", a man of few words is our Mr Davies.

Don't feel bad we would all go if we got your offer Chris.

My offer of £80 to pay for the extra pieces of kit I ordered has neither been accepted nor declined. When I spoke to Nicola to chase up their response she said that all counter-offers where being rejected outright and I should receive notification very soon - 2 1/2 weeks later, still no response.

Thanks, I hadn't spotted that. Quite a sizeable difference from the original offer.

I just wish we knew what is going on re FatCat et.c. Still can't help feeling like a bit of a twit the way we have been strung along.

Default Response from Financial Services Ombudsman

Hello everyone,

Just thought I would update you on the following.

I sent a complaint to the FSO ( having complained to everyone I could think of )

I received an acknowledgement from them in the middle of last week saying that Clode had never sent a final response letter though had had the 8 weeks allowed for that. They said that they had given Clode 14 days to reply.

Today I had a further letter from them saying that my case had been handed to a case worker for adjudication / mediation !!!

I shall now have to update them regarding my court case!!

Amazing its nearly 3 months since they broke my contract to supply services to me.

FCI

Yes getting a MAC code has never been so slow!!!

Sorry to be facetious, but living out in the sticks my provision of broadband is still in the dark ages, so some peoples "slow" would most likely seem quite speedy to me, I am getting around 2mb/s download and 350kb/s upload, and that seems quite steady.

If people want any more proof of the link from Clode to Fatcat the company report is now posted at http://www.deadten.com/resources.html Look who the director is a Mr. Jeremy Rich Morris (gotta love the irony of the middle name) he is also the Secretary of all the various Clode companies.

Default Slow speeds

Still stuck on 30Kb/s downloads, have been since beginning of May. Used to get 200 - 300Kb/s before that date. It is deliberately throttled at REDTEN servers.
Spoke to NJP again this morning and they are not throttling at all, its controlled from the REDTEN end according to them. I also asked about the Bandwidth monitor removal from the members area on Fast4, and he said that was done at Redtens request. According to him all Redtens bills are up to date with them.
Spoke Ofcom today and they are still investigating, but like everyone else, they are having trouble contacting Redten. He suggested taking legal advice at this point as matters appear to be deadlocked.

The fun continues.

Nothing like as bad as some but wildly and annoyingly variable - anything from 1.2-6.9 Mbit/s. Most of the time nearer the bottom end.
