2 year old with ear infection

if a 2 year old has an ear infection (otitis) in both ears and she regularly has ear problems could this be due to teething and if so should the child still be under antibiotics? thanks in advance.

My gp was always very loathe to prescribe antibiotics and I more often than not left empty handed. Prevention was better than cure was his moral, sorry to be vague, but I am scared to offer better advice as i think every case is different. If they have discharge etc from ears etc a Gp offers better advice than me, if its just pain then capol worked for me or them........ Crying in night was solved by her cuddling up to me...... A bit of sympathy for what is a temporary problem was the best for us!!
