Overpaid loan!

When recently applying for mis sold Ppi on Rbs loan i wondered upon another loan ( interest free loan) agreement from the same bank i also had taken out. To my horror when i calculated the payments, i had overpaid over £500. When i wrote to rbs demanding my money back they offered their full apology and wrote a grovelling letter apologising. (Only after the second letter i sent them) Now they have offered me the money back, but before i accept this, am i able to ask for 8% interest on this amount. Any help would be very helpful. Thank you
