Hi,
I've got an 02 Polo, which I love except for one thing - the centre trim / console (which holds the radio / air vents) is scratched to hell. I've sourced a new one, but I have no idea how to remove the existing one. Does anyone have any idea how to do it. I'm reluctant to get a haynes for this one off job - £20 is a lot of cash!
Thanks in advance!!
Ian

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks. Years later, a doctor will tell me that I have an I.Q. of 48 and am what some people call mentally !!!!!!.

I would suggest starting with the radio out, make sure you have the code for it.
I did a console on a 98 Polo and it was difficult, if I remember the top was held in with some tight metal clips, but this had probably changed by 2002.Praying at the church of MSE should be compulsory!

The Haynes may well be useful for other things in the future, and it's cheaper than paying someone £50 an hour :beer:0
