Yeah - once per customer BUT - you can use a friends account to buy a second one.

how did u get the pc card? it only worked for the usb adapter for me.0 -
The code appears to be limite to one use per Amazon Acoount holder. You could always open another account, all it seems to verifiy is that the email address hasnt been used previously.
The code does work with either the router and USB dongle or router and laptop card. If you have a laptop go for the laptop card rather than the USB dongle as the dongles stick out and could easily be knocked whereas the card slots in more securely and you dont have to necessarily remove it when you pack your laptop away each time.
If you want to hook up a PC remotely then use the USB dongle which comes with a long extending cable allowing you to position the USB dongle in the best position to get a signal.
This is an excellent deal. Netgear products are one of the best and their support documentation and walkthroughs on their website are superb. Remember, in order to benefit from the increased speed of this router you will need to use their compatable 'T' dongle or card. If your laptop has built in wireless for instance or you already have another manufacturers wireless product then they will connect at normal 802.11g speeds.

I was only trying to check if the code still worked for a previous poster who couldn't get it to work on the GT range. But thanks anyway.
As for only being able to use the voucher code on the USB card... I know that last week I got it to work on the PCMCIA card (called PC card on Amazon). And I 'm pretty sure that a person I gave the code to ordered one with the PCMCIA card yesterday.0 -
manAged to place another order for pc card . problem was i was trying to split the delivery of the items to two seprate address which the code doesnt allow u to do. For ordering multiples as kevinyork mentioned just use a different email address( u can still use same payment and delivery details.)0

Hiya all :hello:
This is a Netgear promo that it ran in conjunction with its retailers in June this year. The offer was for a free USB or PC card adapter to be used with the DG834 and DG834GT routers.
Amazon was one of the participating dealers. There are separate codes for the DG834G and DG834GT packages. The higher-spec 108Mbps 'GT' model is the better deal at the moment because Amazon have reduced their prices (original price of DG834GT was £88 and the adapter was £45 approx.), but the promo discount does not take this into account.
By removing the promo from their website pages, I guess Amazon intended to 'withdraw' the offer (see post #82), but I can confirm (as can other users) that the codes still work!!! :T The DG834G offer runs out on 25th September and the DG834GT on 30th September.
Be aware that the DG834GT offer is a misprice - the promo code should have been 'withdrawn' and should not have been available to use with the new reduced prices. So please everyone don't buy huge numbers to sell on ebay - Amazon will cotton on and withdraw the offer.
BTW I ordered mine on Saturday, it was dispatched by courier on Sunday and I've just opened the parcel today (Monday 9.30am)!!!
How's that for service? Thanks Amazon!!
EDIT: It's 8.00pm I've managed to replace my BT Broadband ADSL modem and I'm surfing on my laptop without wires. Yippeeee! Please be aware that the system only worked by installing updated drivers from net first. Fiddly, but worth it!0 -
Tried to follow this thread but am lost. I am looking for a cable router (I have NTL and a set-top box with the modem built in). Which deal is best for me and where can I find the amazon codes now. Many thanks,0

amc1 - I think this previous post answers your question. The Netgear is not for Cable so you don't need any Amazon codes.svkhtn wrote:AOL provides ADSL connection. The modem they provided to you is the USB one. Hence, the netgear kit is the right one for your networking.
The linksys router from the original poster is suitable for NTL/Telewest because they provide cable modem with RJ45 output.0
