Great name there Dr Gloom! I think it is fair enough to lower living standards to some degree. I decided this when I saw a PS3 or similar in the background in a house of a family living in 'poverty'!

Carolt you are so right :)

    yeah that as well.

and dogs. no need for scummers to have dogs. all you need is a licence, and the police to have the power to say "where is your dog licence?" if the scum bag cannot produce it, 10 years inside. its all these scum understand. its a waste fining them as they don't pay up and they don't care about anything. i don't care if they don't care about prison as long as they are out of my vision. i hate scum.

    Excellent stuff mate.

Most of the Far Eastern countries are net importers of food. You'd be better off looking to Australia, the USA or some European countries to supply you.

Africa also looks set increasingly to be a big net exporter of food as Asian countries are buying up large areas of African farmland to grow food for themselves.

Just the start of the accelerating decline, as we pass peak-oil and food. Britain can stagger on for, at best, another 15 years, consuming the historical wealth built up since Victoria, after borrowing ourselves to 'prosperity' but cannot generate any real wealth from an economy based on cutting each others hair and installing insulation.
