Cute seals! You live in such a wonderful part of world Fay....most wildlife you get round here is a squirrel!
Been to see 2012....my word thats a long film. The out-laws had Piglet and they looked shattered when we went to pick him up!Good film though.
Resisting the lure of the wine rack this evening. Feel quite tired so will be having an early night.

Morning. Everytime someone mentions 'Squirrel' I smile. Those of you that have seen the film 'Up' will know what I'm on about.
Right confession time, I'm still on 14/29, two lagers each evening. And headaches the morning after, mild but nagging ones. I am clearly a lightweight now, so don't know why I'm doing it. Therefore I won't.

All going OK here. Had a bad cold and sinusitis this week, which I didn't self-medicate with Drambuie, instead caught up with some sleep and lounging around (I was signed off for the week.) I had to seriously exercise some self-control by Weds as I was a) feeling better by then, b) home alone all day and c) the offy was very inviting, as I can actually see it from our bedroom, but I resisted and as a result am feeling quite proud of myself .
What I did notice was that at 7.30 am, when the rest of the family have left for the day, I had serious booze cravings, probably peaking mid-morning, which is strange because I rarely, if ever, drink before lunchtime, even at Xmas. However, as the day goes on, especially when I'm busy, it gets easier to deal with, and by dusk I don't really crave it any more at all, almost like I've got through the day safely. As I said, this is odd as I mostly drank in the evening during the week (I wouldn't risk pubbing it at lunchtime whilst working. too tempting to have "just the one more" before returning to work), and from the afternoon onward at the weekend, as I made sure I got stuff I had to do out of the way before my first drink. Being busy is a good displacement activity for me .
Anyway, have reacquainted myself with Ribena, with which I get my sugar rushes, and I'm sleeping better now. Hope everyone's well, and I'll try not to stay away so long this week!

I managed to sneak on the computer while BF has gone to do his rota in Sunday school. He has left me in charge of the Sunday roast . This is my first Sunday roast I am ever cooking so wish me luck. I did get full instructions last night.
Have caught up with posts. Can't remember what I was going to comment but just thank you all, it has been absolutely hilarious reading. And well done everyone. Especially Fay and Snowy. Fay - I love seals and could spend ages watching them. Do love Seal as well - or more accurately his music.
Maman - thank you. My problem is that I already have M Sc so getting funding from gov is not easy unless they can see this certification to give me better job prospects (which it will). I am doing ACCA. I have couple of other avenues to search yet.
I am all for tour in Darwin, I can be picked up either at J18 on M4 or J7 on M5
Have fantastic Sunday everyone!
And HB - be kind to yourself!!!

Another quick post before I disappear for the day, am not happy at all about this weekend, it's been completely ruined by the impending outlaw trip, we had to go shopping all day yesterday to buy presents for his family and xmas cards, then DD1 spent all evening wrapping them up, now today's normal routine has been completely monopolised by the fact we've gotta be sat at the table for dinner by 1.30pm and they live an hours drive away.
But, on the plus side two of my items sold on ebay last night, unfortunately the one that's been paid for immediately was the £8.00 one and not the £30.00 one that I'm waiting for them to pay for. I can't understand why someone would click buy it now and then not pay for it immediately hoping they're not gonna change their mind? I left it till this morning to send an invoice. So provided they pay up, I made £38.00 on my old tat beautiful items yesterday
Fay, seals are very cute, I used to watch them when I visited Norfolk, if you get down the beach early enough (which wasn't often ), I've heard they can get a bit vicious if you go near them and they have their young with them, dunno if that's true
Right, really must be off, got a full on day

Snowy - well done on resisting the urge to self-medicate with alcohol. Hope you are feeling better - sinusitis is horrible!
Shaggy - my Mum has a squirrel that comes into her garden, nicks the nuts out the birdfeeder and then buries them all over the garden. They used to find it quite amusing but now he's doing it to the lawn and my Dad's not happy!
Jo - you have my sympathies....I hate eating at the out-laws too. My MIL dishes the roast dinner up in the morning and then keeps it warm in the oven. Bleugh!
Lazyish day today....Piglet slept in till 9am (yes, 9am!!! Woo hoo!). We are still in jim jams but are off out soon for a mooch round toys r us to get crimbo ideas for Piglet. Going to cook a roast dinner with all the trimmings later. Yum!
Speak later
