I recently went bankrupt about a month ago and like the rest was very conscious about opening or even getting accepted for a bank account. I went to Barclays who opened me an account on the spot and issued me with a sort code & account number. That was on Thursday.
On Saturday I received my pin number, today I received my card. Now too me thats very very good service.
According to people on here, you won't get online banking when you are bankrupt. After bankruptcy, the online banking will be reinstated.
If you want online banking, go for the Co-op Cashminder.
I opened an account on friday had excellant service similar to post above they opened cash card account and savings account recieved all my log in info today and have started using online banking facilities. When i opened the account i asked about it and they said they have recently reviewed their policy on online banking with this account and it would be fine.

Ok. Since they can allow bankrupts to have online banking, looks like they have listened to customers suggetions.
