Ooops my Ugg addiction has surfaced again! I received a 10% discount code from Bootbarn (signed up as a member last year) and it was just too tempting to ignore just ordered the grey talls for £102 inc P&P

Charl x I'll hold you responsible for encouraging me when my hubby see's his CC bill!

I am pretty sure Grey are gonna be a big hit this year I know i'd be gutted and jealous when i see people wearing them and they are sold out all over so I just had to do it! and i have just ordered my baby girl the Next grey ones how cute she's gonna be with her matching boots! (she has chestnut genuine Uggs already and everyone says how cute she looks, she's not even walking yet. lol)

Oh and sorry I cant share the 10% code as its customer issued to members, but defo worth signing up as they run offers quite often, last year i got a 20% voucher in my order valid for anyone so if I get another one this year I will share, no doubt I will have to treat myself to another pair if this happens.

How dare you! It's not my fault!

But yeah.. I do think the Grey will be popular this year, so Im glad mine are on the way! I wonder if there will be a mad rush again for Uggs this year? All the shops seem to be stocked up at the moment. I wanted to avoid disappointment... well, that's my excuse for getting a new pair now anyway!

Daisygov.. yeah, ASOS reckon I'll have them tomorrow. I am abit peed off about it to be honest. I emailed ASOS back (seeing as she said 'please contact me if there is anything I can do) and I've heard nothing back off them  . I sent it at 1pm too. I'll just have to see if Parcelforce bring my boots tomorrow!!

$20 off at Bootbarn?! That's a good deal... I would have been tempted by that if they had the greys in short.

For anyone who has a Cost Co card, at my local warehouse they are currently selling genuine (upper and inner) shearling sheepskin ugg style boots (tall) for £23 something inc VAT. In four colours, chestnut, sand, black and brown. Unfortunately they didn't have my size left but will be getting a delivery on the 16th September so I am going back and I'm going to get at least two pairs for that price.

I was amazed when I saw that they were genuine sheepskin as I've been looking for a pair for a few weeks now, and the cheapest Non Decker Ugg style boots I could find on the highstreet have been the Just Sheepskin brand, sold in Office, Faith, USC and Debenhams, the tall ones, which retail at £95, but would have cost me £76 with a special 20% off for students on Thursdays at USC at the Trafford Centre!

I've had sheepksin uggs before (not decker) and love them but they are looking a bit tatty now so I need a new pair but totally refuse to pay £170 purely for a little tag that says UGG Australia on the back. I don't know maybe they are better quality, but I'm still not sure I'd pay that price regardless.

Anyway, grab a bargain!

My mum wants to get some Uggs for her 14 year old grandaughter as an Xmas pressie, but doesn't really want to spend over £100..

.. I told her about the Bootbarn offer, and she seemed quite impressed by that, but I told her about the possibility of customs. She was asking rougly how much it would be if she got charged. Does anyone know?

From what I can gather, you get charged 17.5% VAT and then a Prcelforce £13.50 handling fee / Royal Mail £8 handling fee. Is this correct? Or do they add more on top of that too?

Also, how do Customs calculate the value of the item? Because Uggs RRP at £140 over here, would they calculate the VAT on that, or would they calculate it on Bootbarn's price? (Is there an invoice in the box from Bootbarn?)

Sorry for all the questions, but google doesnt have the anwer on this occasion!

Ok if you go to REI.com they sell kids short boots for $90.00 she would be a US size 6 in kids (they run 1 size out unlike womens) the shipping on kids size is $33.00 which makes the boots $123 delivered, (£70 ish GBP) if you sign up for REI Gearmail they send you a first order code for 15% off any item. They could work out just over £60 delivered.

Customs on kids is usually exempt but sheepskin is not so possible charges normally about £26/£30 on kids (from last years charges i got stung) But I ordered 4 pairs for myself, MIL and friend last year separately (so they didnt stand out) and none of them got customs they pack their Uggs box inside another box meaning they are not visibly Ugg boots which might of helped them get through think they just had childrens boots on customs declaration.

HTH

Oooh, thanks for that advice!

The Black Short Classics (Women's) on Bootbarn are only $99, so only $9 more than REI's kiddies ones... and there's the $20 off, but that only applies if the boots are over $100. Hmm..

Are the kiddies ones any shorter in length? Like, from the sole of the boot to the top where you put your foot in?

And one more question (lol, sorry...) are the Bootbarn ones packed inside another box?

Thanks!

Or there are a really cheap alternative if she's not label conscious, they are very good quality.

Knowing most 14 year olds though I bet they have to be THE uggs.

No think they came in a bag...not 100% sure though.

The code western is still working on Bootbarn, have you tried it on $99?

Those grommies ones are nice.. but she already has some 'alternative' Uggs (was going to say cheap, but didn't want to offend anyone lol) and I think my mum wanted to treat her to some Deckers ones for Crimbo.

I just tried Western on the $99 Black ones, and it takes $15 off, which is good!! Would make them roughly £57 delivered! Bargain!

So even if customs charged, they would still be cheaper than the UK RRP... Hmm.. I think I might wait till yours arrive mookie. See if you get stung first, lol
