Is there anything you are particularly concerned about that you think the OR might not approve of

Lots of people have done that or they would not be bankrupt, only about 5% of people have any furthe action taken against them.

Have a look at this link which shows the type of cases where the OR takes further action and hopefully you will agree that you have done nothing like those.

So the worst they would do is slap with you with a BRU...no big deal...i know nobody wants one..but they are not going to put you in jail. Relax tell the truth......be happy and debt free. Sometimes we have to go through bad times to reach good times and to appriciate them.Dx

I have seen some of the cases and i think that they will give me a BRU, because i had got credit after credit although i was able to pay alot of it off- can i not explain that I had alot more debt and tried my best to make payments on time-will that not wash?
So if i get a BRU, does that mean that my IPA will also last for that length of time too?

You may have been drawn out the hat, so to speak. The OR's and their merry bunch are always doing training exercises, quality control, supervision of underlings and that sort of civil servant stuff. It's a bit like driving tests etc, sometimes another examiner watches the other one for training purposes, this happens at random. I know it's not quite the same but this is just part of training, someone has to be the guinea pig. Try and calm down and like I say (in red) more detail would be helpful.

brokebut4hope, you'll be fine. You were given credit by lenders whom would have seen your score etc, they would have known you were in a bit of a mess and used you to try to make money out of you by trying to get minimum payments, you borrowed what was offered to service other debts and living costs.. debt spirralled and you had to borrow more, all the time borrowing and living beyound your means finding yourself in a vicious circle having to borrow more and more. Does that sound like what your circumstances were. That's whats happened to lots of bankrupts, borrowed more to pay off credit then need more credit because your paying lots of repayments, borrow more credit to try and losen the noose round your neck. It's not dishonest, it's not unlawful it's what's happened to survive.

I feel so sorry for you, I have read on here before that face to face really is the luck of the draw. Please try not to worry

What did you put down as your reason's for BR? Have another look at your SOA, the examiner will follow this and ask questions on dates and reasons. The above post sounds like, well, pretty much like a normal BR case to me.;)

No your IPA last for 36ths from the first payment. It can be suspended, decreased,or increased in that time.36mths from the first payment it ends regardless(even if it's suspended) a BRU is totally different.

BRU's are just restictions that are placed on you for 2-15 years

Sorry would go into more detail but laptop taking me an age to type:mad::mad::mad:

Broke, some OR offices just perfer to to F2F in all but the very simplest of cases. We had F2F's and it was all over and done with in 55 mins, TBH it was actually better than a telephone interview because the OR gets the chance to see that you are genuine and you're less likely to forget to ask something, the whole thing can actually be more relaxed than a telephone interview.

Which OR's office is it out of interest?
