Hi folks..
Just a quick question - If someone has advice or experience I'd be gratfeul if you could help out.
I'm going to Cyprus later in the year and just wondered will I be OK using my Maestro card (chip&pin) over there? Just spoke to my card company and they tell me there isn't a problem as long as it is accepted.
I'm hoping I can use it in the usual shops, bars and restaurants - or failing that at least be able to wthdraw cash from an ATM or exchange bureau.
I know Mastercard is the most widely accepted card but I have only Maestro.
Thanks, PAUL

I have used HSBC Maestro in Pernera, just outside Protaras to withdraw money from ATM's, have never tried using it in shops.0

Thanks for that.. I'll be happy if at least I can do that (withdraw from atm).0

You would be best to open a Nationwide Flex account and putting your holiday spends in there - no fees for buying on your card or withdrawals and there are plenty of cash points in Pernera.
