    Morning all!
I haven't posted on this thread for ages as I've been all over the place (literally) with work.
    So here goes....
    • Thursday - enchilladas
    • Friday - quorn escalope, salad and HM wedges
    • Saturday - fish, chips and mushy peas
    • Sunday - quorn "meat" pie, mash/roasties, peas, one other veg and gravy
    • Monday - jacket potato, cheese and beans
    • Tuesday - chick pea curry and rice
    • Wednesday - kiev, salad and jacket spud
    • Thursday - pasta, veg and pesto with garlic bread
I am trying to make some room in the freezer for the Xmas shop (have a whole tribe straying with me:eek: ) and also attempting to economise a bit this week just buying what I need to make up the meals rather than doing a "big" shop as this will be the last shopping week before pay day and I'd rather keep the money for Xmas emergencies than spend unnecessarily.

Good luck to everyone else - who I'm sure will have a more exciting menu than mine!
  • Hi Rach

Your menu sounds delish to me!....anyway....just think of the space your making for all the gorgeous Xmas food. Remember to freeze and surplus and extra veggies etc could be made into soup or curry etc.

Right! at this time of year I hate going to the shops, so I try and live out of the freezer as far as possible and also plan to do all the food shopping bar emergency purchases of fresh items, as I hate shopping in December. HI all, - purpleivy - I hate supermarkets at this time of year too! I try and shop in my lunch hour and find it a nightmare to get back to work on time :( Just wish the freezer was bigger so I could last most of December with no food shops.

    Here's my list:

    Today: HM chilli in wraps
Fri: Smoked salmon omelette (was meant to be weds but I was ill so didn't buy any eggs).
    Sat: Gammon with veg
Sun: Turkey fajitas (something different as I'm getting bored)
    Mon: Mackerel/Kippers and veg
Tue: ??? Something from the freezer - seem to have Tuesday decision issues  Think there's turkey curry in there though, or else salmon fillets
Wed: Smoked pork sausage mash and veg
    Thur: Chilli wraps
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

Hello there - I'm also still trying to make space in the freezer. And I'm not going shopping either! Here's the plan:

thur - ratatouille from freezer with chickpeas and couscous
fri - pumpkin & blue cheese risotto
sat - HM pizza with sardines and broccoli
sun - potatoes mashed with kale from garden, smoked sausage
mon - organic veal escalopes with HM wedges and red cabbage from garden
tues - chickpea/chorizo stew with brown rice
wed - liver & bacon, cabbage from garden (January King) and/or turnips.

On Thursday I leave for a training course in the UK, so DH will live on 'leftover meals' from the freezer for the 4 or 5 days after that.

    Have a nice week!
