Any thoughts about cornish style houses?....
I don't mind them, but OH thinks they look ugly!..and less desirable than a "normal" style house? Does anyone know if cornish style houses are standard construction builds??...and whether they are traditionally known to be ex-local authority houses?

From an agents point of view (me) they are a bit like Marmite - love them, for their character, or hate them. Sorry but they are seen by most as something that is council type of housing.
Same thing as for any other house, with any percieved negative, if the price is right fine providing you realise when you come to sell there will be a reduced number of potential buyers compared with a *normal* looking house. (me thinking now what is a normal looking house???).

Thanks for the replies!..I thought there was probably a reason for it being abit cheaper than other houses around in the same area! It's abit of a shame, as the house is quite big, with large garden and looks in good condition. Didn't know they were non-standard builds!...very useful to know!
