How much to get married in your district?

    In Lincolnshire you can get married from £110.50 to £520.50 depending on where you get married, what day you want to get married on, what type of service you want (enhanced/standard), when you book it (you can't pre-book standard ceremonies over a year in advance), etc. (I haven't included church weddings here cause I don't know all there fees - although the council website does say how much for a registrar to attend - £80).

    Monday to Thursday................................£250.00
    Friday and Saturday................................£265.00

    ENHANCED CEREMONY - Licensed Venue
    Notice..................................................£67.00 per couple
    Monday to Thursday................................£360.00
    Friday and Saturday................................£400.00
    Sunday and Bank Holiday..........................£450.00
    Marriage or Civil Partnership Certificate........£3.50

    STANDARD CEREMONY - Registration Office only
    Notice......................................................................£67.00 per couple
    Attendance of Registration Officer(s) at the Ceremony......£40.00

    North Yorks is £320 to come out and notice was £33.50 each
    Married the lovely Mr P 28th April 2012. Little P born 29th Jan 2014

    we're in suffolk
    it was £33 each to give notice
    £165 for the ceremony
    £3.50 per certificate
    :)

    it's not that great though. not pretty. no parking etc we're spending another £50 on taxis for alot of our guests

    it would have been another £200 to get married at our venue but we couldnt stretch to it. we're on a very tight budget

    We have paid £25 to book the registrar on the date that we want at the venue we want.
    We have yet to pay £33.50 each to declare our intention to get married and we have to pay £320 two months before the day.

    £410 for a late afternoon Wedding in Oxfordshire at a Registry Office. £33.50 each for notice plus the cost of the certificate.

    We don't need to pay until 12 weeks before.
