Have you tried Saga? I think most places will do insurance for over 65s, but only single trip (no annual cover) and it's quite expensive (where I used to work it was a case of doubling the under 65 rate)

Does anyone have any idea where I can find travel insurance for my parents aged 74 and 76 that will not break the bank. I want them to visit me in Spain and can get great cheap flight deals but then the insurance is ridiculous. They are well, independant and bright peope so why is it so difficult to get reasonably priced insurance. They do not need luggage cover or even cancellation really but health cover is important. ???

they seem to do VERY cheap insurance for 65-70's. For over 70's they give you a phone number - so it is worth a try:

"Please telephone 'MakeSure' on 01689 892253 to obtain a competitive Travel Insurance Quotation.

(MakeSure are specialists in providing travel insurance cover for those 70 years old or over and those with Medical Conditions) "
  • Worth trying these two places too:

    Delta Insurance: telephone 01304 361609
    http://www.deltainsurance.co.uk/

    Go Travel Insurance: telephone 0870 152 5840
    http://www.gotravelinsurance.co.uk/

I'd be interested to know how you get on?
  • can anyone help me find annual travel insurance I am under 65 and my husband is over 65, it seems that over 65's are not easy to insure, any advice please. saga do not do annual insurance

Try CIS Insurance on 08457 46 46 46, joint annual European cover will cost you around £125
  • Just done a quick quote based on your details at http://www.gosure.com. It comes out as:

    Europe Annual: £90.13
    Worldwide Annual: £123.54

They are members of the GISC.

    Also try Delta http://www.deltainsurance.co.uk/travel-insurance-over-65-70-79.htm
