    Misslisam....

Go have a chat with a few agents (start with one in an area you don't want to rent so you get good at the conversation). I'd suggest face-2-face.

When you are happy with your "story" (which must be true & check-out when LL/agent takes up references) go see some other agents in an area you do want to rent and explain your position: The CCJs etc. What agents & Landlords don't like is surprises: If they know what they are taking on it may just work out.

. If you have 1-month rent and deposit (which can be up to 2-months rent) and money for fees/checks etc you should find something, but maybe not yout perfect letting.

Chances are some will give you a flat "no" (not fair but it may happen). Others may say OK, understand what they would be taking on and might be prepared to let .

    Sorry to hear your story.

    Good luck!

thanks for the advice i will give that a go over the weekend, I was going to be honest as i dont want to loose any chance off renting, the debts got a bit out off hand when i was in my early 20's and with a little un to look after it just went wrong my total debts are about £7.000 I know its not a lot to what some people have, but these things happen
Do you think it would it look better on me if I was to join a debt management company and consilidate my debts? will look like I am keen on sorting the problem then.
Really am gratful for your time and advice has given me a little relief that the answer may not be no!
