    Good morning,

When entering the answers on the website do you need to include the dashes? i.e. as in 11 & 13 across and 4 down.
Thanks in advance and have a great weekend!

    Hi Shado,

Thanks for asking about the dashes. I really don’t know the answer to your question I’m afraid. I put the dashes in when filling in the form. My opinion would be it would be okay as long as the answers are correct but I could be completely wrong. Maybe you could start a thread over in the compers chat corner and see what the majority of compers do/think?

If you would like to contact them to find out for definitate the email is pickmeup@ipcmedia.com or if your on Facebook their page is HERE.

Good luck with the comp :)

hiya, i used to post these for years on here & alison kindly took over to do them for us :A
tbh i never put dashes in the answers, just left a space inbetween if the answer was/is a 2 word answer & know friends who post these on other sites & they don't include the dashes either :)
i had lots of winners from the postings when i did them so imho i don't think the dashes should be added into the entry :o but each person has thier own way of posting & i'm not saying they shouldn't include them
(before someone shoots me down in flames :o)
as alison suggests maybe best to ask them & get clarification, hth xx

  • I may be mistaken but isn't there the - in some of the clues, ie (2-5), rather than (2,5)....let me see if I have a copy to take a peek
The shinbone is a device for finding furniture in a dark room.
:TBig thanks to all competition posters:T
  • I've found Issue 31 - jezz I need a clearout:rotfl:

    For example

    1 Down ~ Clue: Olympic ball-thrower (4-6)
14 Down ~ Clue: Small Wind instrument (3,7)

So in answer to your question I personally would use the hypen when Alison uses it:)
