Heat resistant filler

Hi all,
We have a log burner in our living room, and behind it there is a large crack in the wall. I've tried filling in the crack with standard filler from B&Q, but once the log burner has been lit a couple of times the filler itself cracks and becomes useless.
Does anyone know of a heat resistant filler that we can use?
Thanks, Steve.
