Hi I saw this site on a poster in the local college.

http://skills.homesandcommunities.co.uk/courses

It's a new site from the ASC (Academy of Sustainable Communities)

There is tonnes of information on careers from architects to transport planner to youth worker. There is information on the numerous careers available. You can download career plans too!

Careers plans covered: There is an expert section where you can ask experts in their field questions about their jobs.

A community section where you can ask questions and contribute to discussion about sustainable communities.

You can phone them for advice or get them to phone you.

sorry for such a long post! i'm not advertising I just thought this site was a great find and i've found it really useful.

I hope parents can show this to their children or young people can get inspiration for a future career.

Thanks-my son is 15 and thinking about what he wants to do careerwise. This looks quite a teenage-friendly site.

  • I'm a Youth Worker and found this site interesting.

I can give this site to the young people I work with and tell them to see all about the career they want to go into.

Had to laugh though when I actually went into 'Youth Worker' - starting salary £15,000  must of got their average from southern Uk - nothing like that in the north :(
Got married on 1st August

thank you to everyone on the weddings and anniversary forum xxx
