  • I WON well not quite but got free membership of seasons holiday timeshare scheme through myoffers. I entered comp for a free holiday not a timeshare and u can see they give away memberships like confetti in the hope of management fees from people keeps the money coming in one way or the other. I DO HOPE PEOPLE STEER WELL CLEAR OF THESE PEOPLE UNLESS U WANT TO PAY MANAGEMENT FEES FOR THE REST OF UR LIFE!!
shame no one ever gets the free holiday the comp was for!

We signed up with Seasons a few years ago because someone at work was a member and said she and her husband had never had any problems. That was true enough but she hadn't told us about the extremely hard sell that we were confronted with and the huge yearly management fee.
Now we are are older and wiser:rolleyes: . Learning a lot of lifes lessons the hard way!

We never got our 'free holiday' either.
Ebay~ A wretched hive of scum and villainy. :p
  • Seasons holidays. I received a recorded delivery letter from them this morning to tell me i had won a prize worth £2950. I got all excited and checked out the website, read the small print, became suspicious and then looked on MSE to see if anyone else had experiences of them. Lots of you have. Oh well it was exciting for a few minutes at least! Thanks for all the warnings it saved me the hard sell and the phone call! As you say, if it was a prize surely it wouldnt cost you £350 a year!!?
What on earth is Linda Robson doing on the site? She must have got free membership too for allowing them to put her face on the site!

What's worrying is how these people get our details from mutualpoints and My offers in the first place. Do mutual points and other cashback/competition sites just hand out our information indiscriminately??

    I've been Money Tipped!
Thanks for the warning guys! :T Guess what in the last week I have received a recorded delivery letter telling me that I have won a prize worth £2950 and have only a few minutes ago got a phone call telling me I had won a consolation prize for a holiday to tenerife or spain. Got straight on here to find I am not alone!;) Do they think we are daft?

Have just had a call from Laura regarding a competition I had entered through get me a ticket. The competition was to win a holiday to the Caribbean - said that was strange as although I was entering comps, I was avoiding holidays as these wouldnt be convenient to take at the moment with a small baby!

She said I had won a runners up prize of a week in Costa del Sol or Tenerife and gave me a claim code (is this starting to sound familiar?!!) and a number to call - 08006526566.

Obviously jumped straight on here to see if I could find anything and lo and behold.....

Must admit was slightly excited as it was an 0800 number but still thought it was unlike me to win anything!!

    Never mind - keep trying:mad:

    They are still at it.
My competition entry was apparently back in August (12th) and I've been offered a self catering holiday for 4. Not even going to call the free phone number.
Not going to bother with holiday comps (or any web sites that specialise in comps) anymore - more hassle than they're worth!
    Thanks guys :T

I have just returned from a holiday I won in San Francisco (2 weeks) which was stunning. I flew UNDER the Golden Gate in a helicopter and saw the Yosemite National Park and the redwoods. I wouldn't have experienced all this if I didn't enter competitions.

Sorry - rushed my last response. I'll still be trying the comps but I think I'll stick with those that are directly through the travel companies / magazines / tv channels / tv programmes. I've been hassled by phones calls since trying a few competitions on the sites set up as "Competition" sites.

I think that if you did this forum and, for instance, Loquax, you would have a full time job. I think we all know the sites to steer clear of, from all of our joint experiences with MyOffers etc etc
