We had a Worcester Bosch condensing boiler installed 18 months ago and it's been excellent.

I did a lot of research into it before committing myself and the two makes that kept on coming up with positive feedback were Worcester Bosch and Vailant. Both of which are German.

WB and Vaillant are good as is Ideal for lower cost than the other two.
  • Best at what?

For the most efficient boiler, you can check on the SEDBUK database. The database does not, however, consider reliability or cost.

  • The guy who services my boiler recently told me the best boiler you can get is veissmann. He said they have half the number of engineers of other companies because they simply don't need them! He's a Vaillant specialist, and said they've had alot of problems with them recently.

You'll get conflicting info from different Corgi installers. After being told one make is good, another will totally disagree. A lot of plumbers in my area try to push Potterton or Worcsester Bosch. This site has a good comparison table of the diff boilers out there:

I could'nt agree more had a bosch at the last house (no problems for over 4 years) and have a vailant at the current house still going strong after 2 years.

Are you straight replacing a combi boiler or a convensional/regular boiler etc, or are you looking into changing your current system from a convensional/regular system to a combi system etc?
